It has been demonstrated by scientific data that 200 million children work as agricultural workers in world agriculture. With the “Smiling Child” Social Project, we have been involved in many efforts to prevent children from being employed in hazelnut farming. Our project, which started in August 2010, has continued with many social activities until today. Its main philosophy is that children under the age of 16 should not work in hazelnut farming and this issue should raise awareness among the community and the farmers of the region.
